トライシクルで市内観光をしよう！ Take a city tour by tricycle
プエルト・プリンセサのホテルに着いたら、トライシクルで市内観光をしてみましょう。色々な場所を半日くらいで回ることができます。以下にどんな所に行ったかを紹介させていただきますね。なおトライシクルの料金は交渉ですが、私の場合は500ペソでOKでした。ここはマニラや他の有名な観光地に比べると全体的に物価が安いので、いいですよ！
Once you arrive at your hotel in Puerto Princesa, take a city tour by tricycle. You can visit various places in about half a day. I will introduce some of the places we visited below. The price of the tricycle is negotiable, but in my case, 500 pesos was OK. This place is nice because the overall cost of living is cheaper than Manila and other famous tourist destinations!
行く価値のある、ワニ園 Crocodile farm
- パラワン島に生息するワニ（クロコダイル）を見ることができます。ここではワニを保護して飼育を行なっていますので、赤ちゃんワニから、巨大なワニまでたくさんいます。
- 赤ちゃんワニを手に持って一緒に記念撮影をすることもできますので、チャレンジしてみて下さい。ワニは爬虫類ですよね、なので持つと冷んやりして気持ちいい？かも（変な汗が出て、ゾッとするからかも(笑)。
- ここは日本の国際協力事業団（JICA)の援助で設けられた施設でした。フィリピンのためにここで尽力された方が同じ日本人ということで、なんだかとても誇らしい気持ちになりました。また私が日本人だと分かると施設のスタッフから感謝を伝えてくれたのも嬉しかったですね。
- You can see crocodiles (crocodiles) living in Palawan Island. Crocodiles are protected and bred here, so there are many crocodiles from baby crocodiles to giant crocodiles.
- You can even hold a baby crocodile in your hand and take pictures with it. You must try it. (lol).
- This facility was established with the assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) of Japan. I felt very proud that the people who worked so hard for the Philippines here were also Japanese. I was also happy that the staff at the facility thanked me when they found out I was Japanese.
なんだか微妙な、Baker’s Hill
- Baker’s Hillという名前から、勝手に色々なパンが売っている所なんだろと思って、ここでお昼ご飯を買って食べようと思っていましたが、その売っている種類が少なく、ある意味びっくりしました(笑)
- なんか、アメリカっぽい雰囲気のオブジェが色々あったり、ちょっとした展望台もありましたが、総じていうと微妙でした。ハードルを下げていくといいかもです。
- From the name “Baker’s Hill,” I thought it was a place that sold a variety of breads, and I was planning to buy and eat lunch here, but I was surprised in a sense that there were not many kinds of breads sold.
- There were various objects with an American atmosphere and a small observatory, but in general, it was not very interesting. It might be better if you lower your expectations.
地平線まで見える？ Mitra’s Farm
- パラワンのプエルト・プリンセサの景色を一望できる場所です。ここは自然豊かでジャングルが多く残された島というのがよくわかります。この場所でピクニックをしている人がたくさんいました。なんだか平和な気分になれる場所でした。
- This is a place that offers a panoramic view of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. You can clearly see that this is an island with a lot of nature and jungle left. There were many people picnicking here. It was a place that made me feel somewhat peaceful.
デートスポット、BAYWALK
- ここもオススメです。この海沿いにたくさんのレストランや出店があり、特に夜はお祭りのような雰囲気で多くの人たちで賑わっています。シーフードを出してくれるお店もありますので、ビールを飲みながら食事をするのにもってこいの場所です。
- また海沿いの防波堤には夜になるとカップルや友達同士が海の方を見ながら腰掛けて楽しそうに話をしていますよ。
- ここはプエルト・プリンセサの中心部からそれほど遠くないので、ホテルからトライシクルで100ペソくらいで来れちゃいます。ぜひぜひ、行ってみて下さい！
- I also recommend this place. There are many restaurants and bars along this seaside area, and especially at night, it has a festive atmosphere and is crowded with many people. Some restaurants serve seafood, so it is a great place to enjoy a beer and a meal.
- At night, couples and friends can be seen sitting on the breakwater by the sea, looking out toward the ocean and chatting happily.
- It is not far from the center of Puerto Princesa, so it only takes about 100 pesos to get there from your hotel by tricycle. By all means, please go there!
マングローブがすごいレストラン、BADJAO Seafront Restaurant
- レストランのロケーションがおもしろい。神秘的な雰囲気のマングローブの林の中の橋を進んだ先に海の上に建てられているレストランです。入り口ではまさかこの先にレストランがあるなんて想像できないと思います。
- レストランから眺める海もきれいで美味しいビールが飲めました！
- The location of the restaurant is interesting. The restaurant is built on the sea at the end of a bridge in a mysterious mangrove forest. At the entrance, you would never guess that there is a restaurant just beyond the bridge.
- The view of the ocean from the restaurant was beautiful and the beer was delicious!
